PVC fence is a product that reacts to outdoor weather conditions. When it is hot out the product expands and when it is cold out it contracts. It is designed and installed so that these weather conditions do not have a negative affect on your fence. On our gates, the only operational part of your fence, we use adjustable hinges to counter act any swelling or contracting of the product. If you notice that the gate is not closing properly , a simple adjustment of the hinge will correct the problem and line the latch back up again. Instruction in how to do this is provided to you at the time of installation.

You will never have to sand or paint or stain your pvc fence. It is truly maintenance free in this aspect. We do suggest power washing or cleaning your fence annually to prevent any dirt or mold build up over time. This will keep your fence looking brand new all year long. Refrain from using harsh detergents or bleach products for it can ruin the protective coating of the fence. Dishwashing soap  and a power washer are recommended products to use for washing.  No bleach or Armor All products should be used.  These products will damage the material.

When we install the fence for you we keep the bottom of the fence two inches off of the ground. Although the fence cannot rot or deteriorate this is for landscaping purposes. That spacing allows for safe trimming of the landscape without scratching the fence. We also recommend that no dirt or landscaping be piled up against your pvc fence. A pvc fence is not designed to hold any weight of dirt or any other product. This will, over time, make your fence bulge out and possibly lean over out of a level line.

As you can see there is virtually no maintenance for you as a homeowner to upkeep your pvc fence. We choose to use red cedar wood to manufacture our fence products because of the beauty and longevity of this product when exposed to the elements. It is a soft, durable wood that is less prone to rot and deterioration due to moisture and bugs. Even though it has all these qualities there are still some things as homeowners that we recommend you do to prolong the life of your custom wood fence.

                First and foremost your wood fence should be installed 2 inches off of the ground, to prevent ground moisture from soaking into the wood. Also no dirt or landscaping should be piled up against the wood fencing. This will extremely prolong the life of your custom wood fencing.

                Second tip; we recommend sealing the wood fencing with a clear or stain colored polyurethane, on all surfaces of the fence. This will draw out the beauty of the wood color and with proper application seal out all moisture to prolong the life of the wood. Over time, every three to four years, we recommend coating the fence with the same product used originally.

                Tip number three. Avoid vines, ivy and other vegetation from growing on the fence itself. Any king of natural vegetation on the fence will speed up the deterioration process of the wood fencing.  And also avoid direct contact from sprinkler systems spraying water on the fence. These two things will dramatically affect the fence product.
